AP mode is only for initial Wi-Fi setup or reconfiguration after a connection failure. Arduino tries saved Wi-Fi on every boot, turns off its AP after setup, and uploads directly through STA. This console does not need to connect to the device AP.
This is a single-device proof of concept. Brief presses remain in history even between polls; live cards show the last reported button levels. The offline buffer is limited, and the device reports dropped events.
